"Eating Inflammatory Foods Will Cause You To Have Chronic Inflammation And A Beer Belly"

Inflammatory foods are what most of us have in our cupboards. The current food pyramid promotes foods that cause inflammation by giving advice to eat lots of grains and cut out fat.

The problem with that advice is, we have been following it for over 30 years now and we are not getting healthier. In fact most people are getting sicker.

All these simple carbohydrates and grains are causing chronic inflammation and causing an epidemic of heart disease, cancers and all types of auto immune diseases.

It Is A Proven Scientific Fact That Chronic Inflammation Causes Disease, And Inflammatory Foods Cause Chronic Inflammation.

It seems like it would be simple to figure out what to do. Well it is, but you just have to make a few dietary changes byavoiding inflammatory foods.

What Are Inflammatory Foods? To Start With, They Are Anything White.

  • White Flour
  • White Rice
  • White Pastas
  • White Sugar
  • Potatoes

You Also Want To Avoid Starchy Vegetables. Dr Lundell Says "Starch Is For Shirts, Not For Arteries."

  • Corn
  • Peas
  • White Potatoes
  • Squash

Refined carbohydrates, starches and sugar cause high insulin levels, and chronic inflammation which eventually lead to heart disease , diabetes and other serious diseases.

It's Very Important To Decrease Your Consumption Of Omega 6 Fats, These Will Cause Inflammation In Your Body. Omega 6 Fats Are:

  • Corn oil
  • Soybean oil
  • Safflower Oil
  • Sunflower Oil
  • Margarine
  • That includes all the things fried or baked or cooked with these fats also.

Omega 6 fatty acids are essential, However you need to balance the omega 6s with more Omega 3 fish oil , which is anti inflammatory. The proper ratio is about 4-to 1, or 1-to 1.

The problem is, most people are more in the area of 18-to-1 omega 6 to omega 3, which promotes inflammation.
Cut Out Trans Fats, They Interfere With The Normal Metabolism Of Omega 3 Fatty Acids.

They interfere with the function of every cell in your body. Trans Fats are also associated with allergic skin conditions, Alzheimer's disease, and diabetes.

Trans Fats Are Found In:

  • Hydrogenated vegetable oil
  • Vegetable shortening
  • Margarine
  • Restaurant Fried Foods
  • Cookies
  • Crackers
  • Chips

The Next Recommendation Is Eliminate The Simple Carbohydrates, These Are All Inflammatory Foods:

  • White Bread
  • Sugar
  • Pasta
  • Cereal
  • Junk Foods

Read Labels. If the label lists sugar, sucrose, fructose, corn syrup, white or "wheat" flour, they contain simple carbohydrates.

If these ingredients are at the top of the list, they may contain mostly simple carbohydrates, and little else. They should be avoided.

FYI---If you need something sweet, sugar is better than the alternatives, which include artificial sweeteners and high fructose corn syrup.

Unfortunately, these are included in most sodas, juices, sweet drinks, and processed foods, so eliminating as many of these as possible may be far more important than cutting out the sugar.

An important fact about artificial sweetners is, many people are allergic to nutrasweet and aspartame. These products can cause serious disease and even death.

If you are a diet soda drinker, you are doing your body more harm than if you drank soda with sugar.

Aspartame poisoning can mimic Lupus, Multiple Sclerosis, Fibromyalgia and it has caused brain tumors. Avoid it if you can, and certainly don't give it to children or grandchildren.

Avoid Anything That Says Low fat.

These products are promoted heavily, but they contain lots of sugar which will cause chronic inflammation and also cause you to gain weight . Aren't they promoted for losing weight? Yes they are, but be informed.

Look for foods that have not been highly processed or refined. Eat a piece of fruit instead of fruit juice, which is very high in natural simple sugars.

Choose whole grain breads instead of white bread. Eat whole grain oatmeal instead of packaged, processed cold cereals.

What To Avoid When You Eat Out:

  • Avoid Starches--buns, potatoes, pastas, or rice, unless its brown rice which isn't as bad for you.
  • Avoid Deep Fried Foods...eat meat grilled or roasted
  • Alcohol in moderation

Lastly, Don’t Overeat.

Overeating promotes the inflammatory response and suppresses the immune system. If you still feel hungry after eating drink a glass of water. Even better drink a couple of glasses of water before dinner to suppress your appetite so you don't overeat on inflammatory foods.
